Cheap Shopping in Kensington! Long Weekend – Labour Day

Indian Food With a View

By John On September 30, 2008 · 18 Comments · In Beginner

Here is a nice little restaurant that I went to a few nights ago. It is an Indian restaurant.

It is a little small, but the food was very good! And the prices were very reasonable.

The best part is, it has a great view of Sydney Harbour! Look at this!

I love Indian food, although Thai food is my favourite.

ACTIVITY: Write a short paragraph telling me about what kind of restaurants you like! Put your answer in the comments!

Hi! I love indian restaurants too although there isn’t a long time since I know them. The first time you eat so spicy food,it seems you a little “strong”, but then, the more you taste it, the more you want! ;O)

My favorite food is pizza(I’m italian!) but I like also chines and indian food, one time I tasted an african food
called “engera” very spicy!!! spicier than indian food.

Here in Swizzerland there is a tipicall food called “ROSTI” made with potatos and other different ingredient. Evry town has own recipe: with eggs, chees, bacon, onion, and you can eat it like a main course or like a vegetables, it’s easy make it, you must boiled potatos, then when they are cool(?) you can grate them with a grater little bigger than a normal grater and after to have heated a pot you can pour potatos and add wichever ingredient you will exept eggs that need put it on potatos at the end, you need cooking it like a cake, perfect rosted in each side

    (sorry for mistakes)
    ciao

    Hi Roberta!
Rosti sounds delicious! I guess you are a good cook, from the sound of it!

You said Rosti can be a main course or ‘like a vegetables’. Do you mean you can use it as ‘a side dish’?

Thank you again for a great recipe! I’ll give it a try! MMmmm!

    Hello!

My favorite food is mediterranian food. Specialy the Catalan food. Here the people cook every day, it is the culture. But nowadays, I think, that the young people are loossing this culture because they prefer to eat fast food. In Catalonia you can eat TRUITA DE PATATES (it is make a omelette with natural fried potatoes and onion) with PA AMB TOMAQUET (brush tomatoe on bread with olive oli) and this ‘manjar’ is good with red wine! It’s vey easy!!
Tomorrow I will get the bags and will go to pirinne to looking for boletus specially ROVELLONS to eat with BUTIFARRA (it is like big natural pork sausage to cook in barbecue)

    have a good days,
    Carolina

Hi, I have to say that I love food, and I enjoy eating, I think it’s a pleasure from life,(but it’s a shame that I don’t know how to cook, but some day I’ll learn).

Although, I haven’t had the opportunity to taste different kind of cuisine, but I like very much Mexican food(I’m Mexican), Pasta, sushi, and seafood.

Well, I’ll try to increase my knowledge in some other dishes from all over the world.

Could you tell me an easy recipe from your country, which I can start to cook please…

    Thanks.

    Hello Alan,

perhaps I´can help you. I give you an easy recipe from my Alsace-Lorraine Grandmother, it´s a Tarte Flambee, this ist a kind of “French Pizza” with a thin layer of pastry such a puff-pastry. For the overlay, a can Sour Creme and thin slices of onions and bacons/ham. The tarte for 15 minutes in the baking-oven.

    Enjoy the meal!

    Hi everyone,

Everyone in the world has there own spectacular cousine that the country makes proud of. Here in the Philippines im not really particular with elegant and other famous restaurant, but one thing is for sure in every street, provinces, and islet here has there own specialty. One of the best native cousine I ever taste is a frog. its quite disgusted when you think about this animal. fortunately people can make delicious and appealing foods through this kind of animals. Taste was good and I never expected that it is really a frog. you have to taste it first before you judge it. Its like your judging ugly women but when you know this women you can discover the best in her.

    Thank you.
Hope you guys make a comment with my short writings.
I am really poor in writing compostion, but hoping to enrich it someday

I LOVE food so it goes without saying that I LOVE going to restaurants! What we can try in a restaurant is important but it is also important for me to feel good about people who serve us. If their service is good, food tastes much nicer!

Jane, yes I like Vietnamese food! There is a Vietnamese restaurant near my house. Very yummy!
