What do you think is important when learning English?
Many students try very hard to never make a mistake when they speak English. This usually makes them speak VERY slowly. Other students don’t worry about mistakes when they speak. Others speak very quickly and hope no one will notice their mistakes.
Is it okay to make mistakes? Do you need perfect English?
Last year, Sydney held the APEC meeting. APEC means: Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation. http://www.apec2007.org/
21 world leaders came to Australia, to meet and talk about business. George Bush gave a speech, which was interesting because he made a mistake!
He said OPEC not APEC.

Everyone makes mistakes when they talk, even native speakers! I am sure you also sometimes make a mistake when you talk in your language! So don’t be shy to try your English!
