Ask John English strongly recommends that if you are concerned about keeping private your identity or other personal information required by your user profile, that you change it. This could be achieved by using, for example, a pseudonym or fake name. All Ask John English accounts require a valid email address. This email address will not be shared with other users by us.

Ask John English may contact you by email to provide you with information about our site or with other information we feel you may find useful. In addition, many of the activities within the Ask John English site, such as the discussion forum, automatically create and send emails to notify you of changes in those activities. Free English Lesson Emails

To receive our free English lessons by email, we require a valid email address from you. We will then send you the free lessons, and may also send you other occasional emails with information from Ask John English and other special offers and promotions that we feel may interest you.

You have the ability to stop receiving the free lesson emails and other emails from us at any time by clicking on the 'unsubscribe link' provided in each email, or by replying to the email with 'unsubscribe' in the subject line.
