Question: Do you think it is important to mention both the persons name and job position in a business introduction?
Put your answer in the comments!

i think it is because in that case Mrs Tanaka might think that she was talking with other employee. i think she should know who is the manager right away. You should introduce the people and say the position that they have in the company. besides it would be rude if Mr Brown said: i Mrs Tanaka im your manager” after being introdue to each other.
I think so because we should know each other . we work together . it ‘s a good way to co-operate .
Hi Jane and Marcos.

HI John,It`s necessary and important to mention both the person name and job position because if they won`t do this ,it means that each one ignore the other .

At work both their name and their position / role is important in an introduction!
Hello John,
Their conversation is in a business, isn’t it? Then, the person who introduce two people with each other introduce them with their name and their roles in their company. By doing so, that person works appropriately for his company then, preparing for their being able to work smoothly.
But, if this is not in a business situation, circumstances are different.
For example, the employee is a fiancee of Mr. Brown. And, they met at a party with Ms. Tanaka.
Then, probably, the employee introduce her fiancee to Ms. Tanaka as follows.
The employee(Catherine): Hi, Yoshiko (Taknaka’s first name). This is John. My fiancee.
John: How do you do. I’m probably working in the same company as you
Ms. Takana: Oh, really? I’m sorry. How do you do. Yes, I’m working at the reception desk.
But…..I haven’t seen you. Have you moved to the company from other one?
John: Yes. I am going to start to work from the day when this vacation would have finished.
Please take care of me.
Ms. Tanaka: So do I.
Good Taro! I like your conversation too!
One point – in English we do not say “Please take care of me” (Yoroshiku onegaishimasu)
We would say “I’m looking forward to working with you.”
John
